In their first season in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), GJSD’s varsity bowling team with coach David Hayward has found tremendous success. Leading up to this week’s WAC Championship Tournament, our Sir Bills were undefeated with a record of 56-0.

The winning streak continued at Monday’s WAC Championship Tournament, with our team winning the Division 2 WAC title, as well as the WAC Tournament title with 2,869 pins.

Junior Darryn Fallis was crowned MVP and had the High Average of 229. Junior Hayden Ackerknecht tallied the High Series with a 715. Six Division 2 bowlers were named WAC All-Stars — and four of them were Sir Bills! Congrats to our All-Stars, Senior Devin Ward, Juniors Darryn Fallis and Hayden Ackerknecht, and 8th grader Ryan Fallis.

Congratulations to our student-athletes and coach Hayward on a tremendously successful season so far, and best of luck as you prepare for the Section 2 tournament – and beyond!
