Dear Johnstown High School Student,
On behalf of the Johnstown High School faculty and staff, we are excited that you will be joining us in the fall as either a new student, 8th grader or a freshman. An orientation will be held for newly enrolled and ninth grade students and their families on Tuesday, August 27, 2027 at 6:30PM in the Peforming Arts Center. For our incoming 8th graders, orientation will be held right after on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 7:30PM. At orientation, you will receive your schedule for the school year and be able to tour the building. Locks will be distributed to 8th graders, as well. Administration, the guidance office staff and members of the student council will be available to answer your questions.
We believe at JHS that you should be given the opportunity to be successful. The faculty and staff will foster that environment with high expectations and standards in place. There is an excellent faculty that will care about and take the time to get to know you. Use them as part of your support system.
Communication is also important at JHS. Please make sure you share any issues or concerns with your teachers, counselors or administrators before they become a major distraction to your education.
The first day of school is Thursday, September 5, 2024. Students will report directly to their assigned homerooms by 7:45 a.m.
